The project is to set up a mobile oral cancer and cervical cancer (which is highly prevalent in Kerala) detection unit to serve the remote rural areas of Kerala and Tamil Nadu which comes under RI District 3200. In order to reach these remote areas, a mobile clinic is planned which will also be used to conduct Dental Camps and General Medical camps as required. Besides, this unit will be equipped with an investigation laboratory and other examination facilities. The mobile unit also will be provided with a TV, DVD, Projector and PA system which will be used to propagate health awareness among the remote and rural communities in the district. This will be maintained and coordinated by RC Wadakanchery, for the remote areas of the entire Rotary District Dist 3200. |
