Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Tijuana Total Budget: $3,500 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Purchase of 26 Mattresses for Casa Hogar Mexican Orphanage Casa Hogar is located in Baja California, Mexico and houses Mexican foster children. These underserved children require basic safety and health needs including food and shelter. Vita Hoven is a San Diego based non profit dedicated to establishing, outfitting and managing orphanages for the ever increasing numbers of these underserved Mexican youth. This Rotary Project will purchase 26 mattresses for 26 children in Casa Hogar. Volunteers from Vita Hoven will purchase, transport and install mattresses and will assign a mattress to a specific foster child.
