Project Description Country: South Sudan Location: Juba Total Budget: $3,000 Areas of Focus: Community economic development, The environment Activity Type: Community Development: Disaster Recovery Summary: Juba Rotarians will plant seedlings to improve a future orphanage site as well as to generate funds to operate the orphanage. We propose applying for $3,000 to establish a tree seedling nursery at the new site for the Confident Children Out of Conflict orphanage in Juba, South Sudan. Local Rotarians are currently building a solar system to pump water from the existing bore hole to a new water tower. The RCJ will plant trees around the new CCC compound and establish a sustainable source for 1,000s of new tree seedlings that the RCJ wants to use for support activities throughout Juba.
