Project Description Country: Malawi Location: Malawi Total Budget: $750 Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Providing sewing machines and education to women in Malawi Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, with the fourth highest percentage of people living in extreme poverty. During each year, African Enterprise trains a total of 40 women . They learn sewing skills, small business skills and how to prepare nutritious meals for their families. They also receive their own sewing machine and fabric upon graduation. Our club will be donating $750, which will provide the materials and education for two women to go through this program.
