Project Description Country: USA Location: Carlsbad CA Total Budget: $7,000 Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Community economic development Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: Trade and Vocational school scholarships for local high schoolers While college scholarships abound in our community, few are available for High School students planning to attend trade or vocational schools. Our fundraising project will provide scholarships to those students of $1,000 to $2,500 each. We will be holding a raffle to raise additional funds over and above the District Grant amount. Our goal is to raise at least $30K by members selling tickets from mid-January through March with winning tickets drawn in April. We already have a promised donation of the $3,500 from the Club to match the District grant.
