Project Description Country: Philippines Location: Southeast Asia Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: Disease Summary: The Rotary Club of San Diego-Paradise Valley is to provide manual wheelchairs to individuals/persons with physical disability to improve the quality of their life. The Rotary Club of San Diego-Paradise Valley will provide manual wheelchairs to individuals with physical disability that can not afford one, to improve their functional mobility. This is a joint project with the Rotary Clubs in the Philippines. The local Rotary Clubs will be responsible in screening individuals/person who are in great need of a manual wheelchair per screening process. The District Grant Funds will be used to purchase manual wheelchairs in the Philippines and these wheelchairs will be distributed to the individuals/persons during the medical mission on January 2023.
