Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $3,000 Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Basic education and literacy, Community economic development, The environment Activity Type: Education: Volunteer Services Summary: District Youth Service Programs Our Club will fund the following Youth Services Programs in 2024-25: *LEAD--Leadership, Ethics, Aspiration, and Determination--a weekend camp program for 8th grade students who have demonstrated leaderhip potential *Model United Nations--a program for high school students which simulates the United Nations where high schools are assigned to different countries and learn to negotiate to help solve world problems *RYLA--Rotary Youth Leadership Awards--a leadership development program for high school juniors (11th grade) through a camping experience in a mountain camp facility in Idyllwild *City Heights Rotaract--a Rotary club for young professionals (18-30) in a low income area of San Diego.
